Sauna, pools, pubs, very good location.
Service needs to be improved.
It was fairly quiet, clean and tidy, room service good value breakfast foods good selection. Staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds all well kept. Relaxing atmosphere.
Although wheelchair accessible complex large with many stairs long distances between rooms and facilities made disabled access to various facilities difficult. Location a long way from town centre.
I think that some parts to the hotel could do with a bit of a makeover. The Spa area wasn't quite as the picture described.
Near to all facilities Torquay has to offer
Evening entertainment could have been a bit better
large swimming pool, friendly staff, good service
noisy extract fan outside bedroom window
We were not told that a wedding was taking place on the day we were at the hotel. It spoiled our afternoon. Also, although the complex is good and with a lot to do, we felt the bedrooms were very dated and could do with a facelift.
A all round service for all weather condition's ie indoor pool, outdoor pool, evening entertainment etc.
Pleasant clean and well located for the purpose of my visit. It was also competitively priced. Informal atmosphere with a wide range of activities available if you have time. Good for families and noticeably enjoyed by elderly couples.Good breakfast.
Most of the staff were very helpful. Hotel was clean and tidy. Food was OK and plentiful.
Location was to hilly as my wife is disabled and uses a wheelchair. So i had to use my car all the time. This was not advertised on the website. for abled people the hotel is alright, but needs updating.
The location and facilities were good. Fair value for money. Staff were friendly and mostly helpfull. Indoor swimming pool was very good and the outdoor area with pool was also good. Plenty to do even if the weather is bad.
The gym changing rooms were poor - no soap, no towels unless you paid, no hairdryers. Also did not expect to have to pay for the use of the gym. Food in the Aztec bar was poor and expensive - service also not the best.
Staff were friendly and efficient, the food was very good and the accommodation very comfortable albeit that the bathrooms are a little dated.
The description of the hotel was somewhat misleading; the Toorak is one of several interconnecting hotels and the swimming pools are in fact located at one of the neighbouring hotels as were many of the other “leisure facilities”. However the Toorak is a popular destination with those wanting a quiet location in a comfortable setting and we met many who had made numerous return visits. It appears to be particularly popular with older travellers, although our visit was outside school holidays. On the downside we noticed one wheelchair user struggling to gain access to the dinning room.
lovely sea views, nice english breafast
Very good food, excellent facilities and friendly staff, like being in one of Agatha's plays.
Bathroom needs updating
Very nice room
Outside pool was not cleanest I have seen (water was a bit opaque) and I opted for the indoor pool instead which was a bit hot at 31°c
